Rachael Robathan new leader of Westminster council

Conservative councillors in Westminster have chosen Woman Rachael Robathan to change into the brand new chief of the council.

On Wednesday she was chosen by councillors from the borough’s majority Tory group to change into their new chief. The choice means she has all however secured the job of council chief.

Woman Robathan will formally take workplace after a full council assembly subsequent Wednesday, when a vote will likely be held between all of the borough’s councillors at Marylebone City Corridor.

Her colleague, councillor Jonathan Glanz, this morning wrote on Twitter: “Congratulations to Rachael Robathan on being elected as Chief of the Conservative Group @CityWestminster. Wanting ahead to working with you to offer the most effective, best and cost-effective providers to all our residents and companies.”

Woman Robathan will change Nickie Aiken, who ran the council for 2 years, and was elected as the brand new MP for Cities of London and Westminster ultimately month’s normal election.

Her present function on the council is cupboard member for finance, property and regeneration, and he or she represents Knightsbridge and Belgravia ward.
