A 34-year-old London, Ont. man is dealing with a number of prices in reference to a violent incident in Victoria Park late final month that ended with one particular person stabbed and bitten by a canine, an officer bitten by the identical animal, and two others assaulted.
Police say the incident started round 7 p.m. on Aug. 27 within the downtown park when a person and girl sitting at a picnic desk had been approached by an unknown man with a canine.
It’s alleged the person started arguing with the couple concerning the quantity of the music they had been taking part in, then assaulted them, which was noticed by a passerby — who police say tried to intervene.
The canine is alleged to have bit the passerby a number of instances, prompting the person to supply a knife to defend himself. The male suspect allegedly took management of the knife after which stabbed the passerby, police stated.

Officers responded and noticed the suspect fleeing eastbound from the park on foot, police say. Police tried to arrest the suspect, throughout which one officer was bit a number of instances by the person’s canine, they stated.
The couple, passerby, and officer had been hospitalized for non-life threatening accidents. The canine was impounded on the request of police at London Animal Care Centre.
Police say a knife was seized, and be aware the suspect was not identified to the victims.
A 34-year-old London man was charged with two counts of assault, assault with a weapon, resisting arrest, and failure to adjust to an enterprise. The accused appeared in court docket on Aug. 29 and is scheduled to reappear on Wednesday.
